Kris & Tina Jones"RECORDS"
I nominate myself to verify the record Patch has submitted.
I wonder..
Who has the largest awning to length ratio?
Who has the largest generator?
Who has the most miles on their Barth?

I have:
1- The oldest Barth, 1965
2- The tallest wife, 6'2"
Have Fun,
Wm.
1965 is a record that will be tough to beat! Your wife would have a full ride scholarship to any school in the nation these days!

The longest test drive after a repair @ 288 miles
I went 151.5 once but I stayed in the same state at least!

This is an Awning with a Barth attached to it.

I believe this has the highest sail area to length ratio of any craft seen on this site. It would even make Captain Nat proud.
I believe they also hold the record for the earliest square headlight setup on a Barth too.

Marvin+DorisNot sure if it is a record, someone sure outdone us somewhere: Most miles travelled just to look at Barths; so far 3200 miles. But a Barth is in sight (give us about one week, we are working on it).

Kris & Tina JonesSounds like a record to me. I traveled over a thousand to look at a few before I bought mine but am glad to save the mileage!

Scott StewartI may be the craziest To achieve this record. Longest Inaugural trip 122 miles after she sat in the woods for 8 years. We did the Gas and Go. She died in the driveway at home.

It wasn't as "smooth sailing" as it sounds.
I like this photo because it conveys how most of us feel that you had a successful trip and it warms our hearts to see such a young man know what true quality is first hand!

Thumbs up to you too Brandon!

Record Maybe...
The longest test drive after a repair @ 288 miles???
Record #4: Now that I think of it, I had StaRV II's engine replaced in Dec '06. Drove it 5 miles to set the TPS, then home (17 miles). Two days later, I headed for my sister's, 1,165 miles away. Changed the oil/filter in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Manchester, TN and again at my sister's in 10° weather.
I'd have record #5, but it was on my SOB: Hottest temp while replacing a fuel pump (107° in Clarksville, TN). Cramped up so badly after sweating so much, I made it only to Huck's Trcuk stop (Exit 40, I-29) where 2 qts. of Gatorade and a lot of salt finally calmed things down enough so I could sleep.
Maybe Record #5 is: Most times mooching a stop off a Bartmobiler. '06, Carl Flack (when he lived in Cookeville, TN), Bill NY (at least twice), and Nick Cagle (4 or 5 or 6 or 7 times).

When I first posted that "Record"

I knew I would be challenged. I also knew it would probably be the first "Record" to fall.
When I left, I really was on a test drive. After I made it over the first 2 big hills around me, going south, I decided on impulse to keep "testing".
I might get in trouble for saying this next line, but it's all tongue in cheek so relax.
Some of us, as we can infer by reading the posts, are on a perpetual test drive each time they go somewhere.
On an unrelated note... I'll let you know how my 717 mile test drive to Milford goes in 45 more days.
I yield my "Record" to Rusty

... however, I now hold the "Record" for the first "Record" to fall.

See, you can make lemonade... it just depends on your outlook in life.

When I bought mine in ABQ, NM, I drove it on home after check out 1500 miles to my home and and earlier, once traveled to Bakersfield, CA to look at a Barth, but did not buy it. Before purchasing the Barth, the Kleins drove from CA to Key West and then to Newfoundland, then to Washington state and back ot CA, driving over 12,000 miles on that trip.
On the trip from ABQ, I averaged 9.2 miles per gallon on low lead diesel. Since then, I have not hit that high on UL diesel. Ray
Ed, MWWRENCH drove from CA. To Dc getogather and back in a round about way, so he and wife done a long trip last fall.
