Just throwing this out there, but maybe we could keep an account of any "record breaking" data that we come across. All of these things should be Barth related and some of them will be broken after a few minutes when someone see's something they topped. I don't have any records at all but,.. to give an example, I believe Rusty has the record for horsepower to weight ratio? And maybe Rusty would be kind enough to post his results on the page for the rest of us to admire or maybe for some poor guy to empty his wallet to try to beat. Maybe we could have a record for the longest road trip time and distance wise. Perhaps we could have a record for the most costly repair for a generator? Like I say, I don't think I have set any records at all but it might be alot of fun. I think we should try to avoid records like who has driven the most in one shift as we could put people in danger trying to beat that record but the rest could be fun. How bout the record for the most t shirts bought from the Barth site as long as the person who bought them does not mind that type of stuff being posted. I will try to break the record for the most valuable bottle of Scotch for any Barth Rally this summer... Should cost about $25 bucks so far Smiler (looks like we may hold the first record!)

I'm going to check the info but the record for longest parting out project might be for my '77 29 foot coach. I'm not sure anyone would like to claim that type of record.

Well why not? When did you start parting her out Dick? Do you have any ideas on how many parts you distributed? Remember, every part you got rid of saved someone a ton of money and time and there is no room for shame in that!

Record #1: HP/Weight (Diesel): 230HP/16000 lbs.

14.375 HP/1K

Record #2: Most time spent wallowing around under the Barth: Hours uncounted, but I've run new heater hoses, EGT wire, A/C compressor wire, air compressor lines (twice), boost gage line, installed/replaced the oil cooler fan, replaced water pump, replaced lower radiator hose, replaced P/S pump, upgraded A/T pan, upgraded diffy cover, installed gaso tank for genset (and ran electric and fuel), replaced fuel lift pump (frame rail), replaced genset, disconnected and checked universals, rearrange waste water hose storage, replaced turbo, replaced muffler, replaced reefer and furnace LPG supply lines, repaired FW drain, plus the usual chassis lube and routine inspections.

Record for being a member of the sight and contemplating becoming an owner without buying a Barth or SOB. 8 years, about this time in 2002. First saw and toured a Barth just south of Circleville, OH. It was an FMC, Dave gave me a warning about the MCC and I am still looking.

Perhaps Torque to weight ratio, but a diesel is never gonna win the HP to weight record.

Scheduled fluid changes are a very important part of the maintenance process. I usually like to follow the manufactures recommendations – but since my refrigerator does not have a factory recommendation for fluid changes I err on the side of caution and change the fluids often.

I can see that Patch thinks the same way….
