Hi All, Last year when we came back from our winter trip I found a (?) nest on top of each of the engines of the cars that were in the gargage. Would someone please let me know how I can avoid the problem this year. Thanks and Happy New Year, Jim

Fabric Softener/Dryer Sheets. They smell of perfume and, I would suspect, taste nasty when you bite into them. I lay them all over the Barth and engine areas. Any closet drawer or cabinet gets a fresh dryer sheet. When the spring rolls around it smells nice too. You might want to read this thread titled Meeses, Mices, Mouses for additional thoughts. Hope it helps...

I've read other sources that say dryer sheets are an "urban legend" as far as pest repellent goes. In one RV tale, they put several dryer sheets and those ultrasonic devices throughout the camper during the winter. Come Spring, things were opened up. A nice family of mice had made a cozy nest from the dryer sheets, and were set up right next to an ultrasonic module. But, if you've used dryer sheets and they worked - then that's all that matters!

My thanks to all. Looks like dryer sheets and Mothball are in order. Jim
