Overhang Hall of Shame
From time to time we've seen some real loooong overhangs [as opposed to hangovers], so I thought you might get a kick out of this one.

I didn't think that looked like a 1999... most had a more "flat" bus-like front end by then (even my '94 has that shape), and not the sloped nose of many 1980's models.

Another 37':

and a 34':

And one of unknown length. I shudder to think how overloaded that tag axle is.

I was incorrect when I called it a 97. The ad says 99.

That RV has an interesting history.

Every city in which it has been parked has passed laws restricting RV parking. In one city that I know of, a neighbor who objected to another neighbor's RV bought this one just to force the issue. Sure enough, the hue and cry resulted in the city passing a no-RV parking law within a week.

The owner ended up selling it to the US RV Park and Storage Lot Association, who now use it to travel to targeted municipalities to induce anti-RV parking laws to their benefit.

Here is an example of how one Rver dealt with overhang issues.

He removed his heavy Kohler genset and replaced it with a lighter, smaller Chinese generator in back, and installed a rack up front for his scooter.

The funny thing about this is that he used to have to use a Harley Davidson up front to balance the heavy Kohler in back. Neighbors got real tired of his loud Harley exhaust and complained a lot. So, he bought the nice quiet scooter you see there, shaved off his beard, lost some weight and covered the tattoos...... Presto, instant nice guy.

......Problem was, the scooter was too light to balance the Kohler, so he replaced the Kohler with an even noisier Chinese rattletrap, which has to sit out in the open air on a slide out rack for cooling. Now, his RV neighbors hate him again, so he said, wotthehell and grew back the beard and belly, and scowls a lot again. But, somehow, it just isn't the same on a scooter. Nobody admires his beard or is intimidated by his scowl. He wants to buy a Harley again to balance out his image, but the old weight and balance is hanging overhead like a Damoclean Sword. (not his term, btw)

I have suggested he start over and buy a Barth so he will have friends again.

Life is tough.

This one might not make it in, but it gets an honorable mention.

Move the rear axle forward about 2 feet, hit the fulcrum point, and you've got a mobile teeter-totter. Click

Yep, it's on Ebay Bill:

You're right about the '80's & early '90's Vogue folks....I think was was probably the Mitchell Motorhome days....I still think their Prima Vista DP was one of the best looking coaches ever (even with the porthole Smiler

If I ever stray from Barth ownership, it'll probably be because of a Prima Vista DP....
Here's a beauty:
