Somebody has deleted my private Message
that were of interest to me without my permission!!
Is that a new policy on Barthmobile??
Who would dare to do such a thing??
If there was deletions to be done
should not I have at least been consulted??
And if so what was the rational for their deletions?

RSVP--

If you were the original poster of those threads they should remain until you delete them.

If the threads were started by someone else you can delete your posts but not the entire thread. The thread's original author can delete the entire thread any time they desire.

Other than that, the PMs should remain until one of you removes them. hmm

Hi Doug, The following is a copy from PM page.

"Deletion Note: if you delete a private topic that you created (host), it will be deleted permanently for everyone. If you delete a private topic that someone else created (hosts), the topic will simply no longer appear in your private topic list."

So it seems to say that if the PM you were concerned about was created by someone else and they deleted it, it would be deleted for you as well.

That is how I read it but may be I wrong.

Doug, I cleaned mine recently but there was only one to you and it was just a "for sale" reference.

Hey Doug. There is a pruning feature on Barthmobile that does automatically delete inactive PM's.

It is not done by creation date but is done by Last Reply Date.

No one is capable of reading your Pm's but you and whoever is in your group.

On the TOS page from 2007

Data storage and logging in:

In addition please be aware that computer resources, like on any system, are not unlimited. You are strongly encouraged to back up any information you may receive via PM to your own machine if you wish to keep it for an extended period of time. Normal system maintenance could delete these after 91 days.

I can extend it outward to a year but after that it will be deleted no matter what anyone does.

It usually happens at the end of a month whenever system maintenance deems it a necessity.

As long as it's an active pm it, can not/ will not, be deleted.

I feel bad for you. Sorry Doug, I can't bring them back and no one has access to them at the hosting company.
