We had an issue with someone posting something Commercial Related on our site. He pretended to be something/someone he wasn't and I exposed the subterfuge.

After it was "Suggested" that I could get sued, he was given til "High Noon" Tuesday to apologize, admit what he did was wrong & to promise he'll leave us alone. As you'll see, he admitted his "mistake" and "apologized" and now wants to move on.

In the interest of bringing closure to those who knew... now you'll know how it ended.

I'll leave this up and remove all of the other posts. If you wish to continue the dialog we'll keep at it but under no circumstances will we mention the product, his old screen name or what it did.

I gave him my word and that means everything to me, so we'll all just deal with it... ok? java Respectfully everyone, it's not our place to police the entire Internet, I have enough problems in my little corner of Heaven...

Apology accepted... I wish you the best of luck "Jon", and I hope that in the future we may all learn from this.

Yes, I glossed over what happened as the outcome was 100% exactly what I wanted from the start. There was 16 additional posts before the one below this.

I could have also titled this - "Nothing to look at here, move it along" Smiler

Anything below in darker print that says Redacted was done by me.

In this area here there was a picture of a Countdown Clock ticking the time down to High Noon Tuesday... Texas Time

Yes, I do stuff like this for dramatic effect. It seems to make people smile.

I humbly apologise for using your forum to advertise my product.

It isn't a scam but I breached the terms of the sign up agreement and for that, again I am sorry.

I formally request that this thread be removed, and I promise never to advertise here again.
(for the record, it isn't my info but this thread has got out of hand and I don't like my product being called a scam when it's far superior to the free downloads).

I had trouble posting under Redacted, that's why I signed up again. Thought you had blocked me but must have just been a glitch.

I am a poor marketer no doubt, so if I may be so bold as to request some advice on legitimate advertising, I would be very grateful.

FYI the count down made me smile.

Kind regards,

Jon.

It's a matter of telling the truth about what your product does or is. It's the integrity to not pretend you're a third party to the company, admit you are trying to sell a product.

Why don't you offer a free trial for 30 days or give it free to people like Bill, our moderator, to get a proper review.

Redacted, if your product is a good value, you won't need to pretend you're the RVer - a hundred people will do it for you!!! On the other hand, if your product is marginal, it will get that review.

I'm the President of a multi million dollar company that does absolutely no paid for advertising, it is all word of mouth and direct contact.

For me to be a believer, short of trying the product, I would want to know how you compiled your information and be assured it is not a re-write of something that can be had for free.

I hope this helps. We're really great people on this forum, but with a low tolerance for BS!!

Getting a booth at one of the RV shows would also help get the word out. This wouldn't be cheap, but if it is that good it should sell.
