I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in Indianapolis the weather has been so warm. Upper 70s in March is unheard of, and its not going anywhere anytime soon. Changed a ball joint and fixed the generator while the Barth should be covered in snow. Yeah!!!

P.S. Thanks BarthBluesmobile for the hot tip on rockauto.com

Yeah, I'm wondering why I came all the way south to the Keys to play outside! At least it will last here. Played with transmission yesterday and this morning. Changed oil/filter, (messy) installed fitting for transmission temperature sensor in the pan, and replaced the trans cooler with a bigger one. We'll see how Barth likes it for the trip back. I'll post pics later.

Enjoy the weather while it lasts!

Great weather means tinkering on the Barth...

I'm at my Barth learning the systems and checking out things that need repair. Currently hoping that someone has a spare camera for my backup monitor.

Found an issue with my Trace Inverter/Charger and trying to research that too. Generator putting out 118 volts and 61hz - Inverter pushing 121 volts and 18hz as seen on my "Kill-O-Watt" meter. hmm

Gluing some laminate down on the sliding drawers. Mineral spirits work well on glue cleanup.

Trace out the dash stereo speaker issue - have a bad amp. Tap on it just right and it kicks to life. Need to remove amp and open it up... Possible bad solder in board. Maybe a bad power relay inside the board? Won't know until I check.

Ordered up a rebuilt airdryer from eBay. $125.00 is a good price for an AD-4 dryer. Supposed to be delivered today.

Tightened a bunch of loose connections in the electrical box mounted below the driver side window. The volt meter is working now in the dash for the house batteries as a result of this. This might even be why the unit shut off in the NJ Toll Booth.

Back to work... mechanic Smiler

Same here! I got the original (broken) fridge removed from my RV the last couple days, and am ready to install a replacement... once I find it. A few years back we camped during some pretty chilly late-April weather (which who know, the Midwest could still have this year), so consistent 70's in March is odd indeed.

with the exception of a mouse nest removal no repairs, just "dusting" Barth off and loading some stuff. The mouse nest is puzzling me, it is made with printed paper towels and we ONLY use white ones. Also no papertowels or toiletpaper stored in the Barth showed any signs of mice. Glad they did not use the dryer sheets I put in the compartments to keep mice out ...
