Don, you won’t see that Breakaway in Prescott for a while, we bought it last week from Josh Levine and drove it back home to Montreal area. After lurking two years on the site, we finally made the move. The BK will replace a VW Westfalia 1977 that we had for almost 20 years, in which we toured all over US and Canada; maybe we can keep it as a toad …
Our first trip (3000 mi /6 days) went fine apart a breakdown after 32.3mi, first day in the middle of Prescott National Forest !! (wife had a certain doubt our new acquisition)(serpentine belt broke after the nut retaining alternator pulley choose to stay in Arizona); we were very lucky, pulley and tapered insert remained with us. Next day at noon we were on the road again (with a new alternator); then at night the light ‘low brake fluid’ went on !!! (wife …….) We discovered next morning that there was no problem with the brake system, but an electrical problem when the lights were on (bad ground? Left flasher indicator goes on too and right part of instruments gets no lights) Rest of the trip went fine, the Breakaway (92, 30’, Cummins, Banks TwinRam) is easy to drive, much easier than I tought (but much bigger than what I was used to). We love it!
So you can expect a few request for info in a near future; by the way, would someone have the operating/maintenance manual for a Kwyatt 7.0

Congratulatioms Mike! I first saw your Breakaway last Nov. at the storage lot in Prescott Valley. We spent the winter down near Phoenix and so kinda kept a lookout for it whenever we went up to Prescott area. We were there last month and saw it again, hence the post about it just a while ago.
Little problems will arise when you put a coach back in service after a bit of hibernation.
Has it spent it's life in AZ? Do you know it's history. Should be nice and rust-free.
Again, Congrats!!

Hey Micha,

Welcome to Barth ownership, baby steps didn't work for me either. When I bought my first motorcycle, everyone said I needed to start out small so I bought a new Goldwing. When I bought our first RV, people mentioned pop-ups, small travel trailers and slide-in campers so I bought a 38' Barth. I had fallen in love with them several years ago because of construction quality and design. If I had listened to everyone else, I would have worked my up to the Stagecoach about 10 years after my name appeared in the obituaries. Smiler
