My coach has 9305 and indeed it also has a build date of 5/20/93 on the tag.

yr/mo is one if the standard date code tabulation that are used.

I have seen this on all the tags presented so far.

My tag is identical to billh's, with the numbers I posted in another thread.

Then GVW and tire pressures etc.
So it seems they did things differently with Euros.

Are Euros different, or is it a matter of age? Danny's & El Segundo Bill's Barths are both from the '80s. The build plate on my "90 Regal SE is the same style as Nick's '93 Regency.

nb: I believe the "M0022" designates the 22nd Monarch built.

Ordered late Spring '96; Spartan chassis was mfg. in July '96; coach delivered late Oct '96. Spartan Mountain Master chassis, 325 Cummins 8.3L turbocharged, intercooled diesel w/Allison MD3060. (I paid extra for the new 325HP instead of 300hp engine; Barth said it was simply a "chip" added to the then-current 300HP). Barth RSV Inc. was the mfg.; note the corporate name change had occurred by then. This was certainly not the last one made, but it is close. As I noted in earlier posts, the factory was pretty much shut down when we took delivery at Milford (this naif thought it was hunting season and the workers were all out in the boonies with their rifles).
My sticker was painted over in an aborted attempt to contract out the interior re-do last winter - the re-do was salvaged by yours truly but the sticker was not.

Looking at Mary's Tag the number 7408 1563 MC 26 A

7408 - Completed in August of 1974
1563 - Sequential Number
MC - ???
26 - 26 foot long
A - Floor Plan?

Bumper to bumper is 28' -- floorplan is rear bath, side twins, dinette but no couch, pull down bed over driver/passenger seat. She is 454 chevy, chevy tater chip chassis.

"Was there only 765 non Regency coaches built in 8 years and 9 months? All the non Regency coaches I have info on are between 3087 and 3852."

Sounds logical to me: 70 per year, 6 each month. Anyone who visited the factory in the late 80s or 90s will agree; it was a "hand built" (not production line) operation.

The number of actual RV coaches seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Total units built about 4000 minus travel trailers and commercial units equals 2000 to 3000 coaches.

Update to all members- so far I have gathered about 25 data tags and I can say that every one of them will fit into YRMO (year-month) -9999- sequence built correctly without exception. Please keep them coming. If you can get one that isn't even your coach it will help.

Ok, you win the grand prize, that is the first one that doesn't fit exactly. To fit it would have to be 75071703MC23B. Any chance of a typo? I'm hoping.

I suppose an error is possible.. but not likely. I took the numbers from the "bill of sale" which I have now rechecked. I no longer have access to the coach to check it out directly but will look around for old documents which may confirm the numbers.

One of the more interesting points coming out of the project is determining how long your is coach in actual length. Looking at old brochures, it appears that in 1973 Barths available lengths included 19, 22, 25, 28, 29, and 32 foot lengths. The next year 21, 24, 27, 29, 30, and 34 foot lengths were available. Did Barth shrink all the mid sizes or simply change how they measured them to include or not include the bumpers? I have tried to draw a compilation of lengths to wheel bases and that seems to help. 19 and 21 were 125". 22, 24, and 25 were 159". 26 and 27 were 178" and 28 and 29 were 195". If you have any questions on the length listed on your Data tag try measuring the wheel base. It might help. But then again maybe not.
