After a few years of being absent from the forum, I thought I'd post a "Hello Barth" message!

We still have our 84 MCC Regency. Take it to the races every year, have not really had the opportunity to travel much. HOWEVER, this was an interesting year for us. We went to the American LeMans races at Lime Rock, CT. two weekends past, had a great time. Parked it right on the track fence. Great seats, 30 feet from the cars! The coach got many nods. "Ohh, nice doin' that "old skool" vibe", a 20-something said. "Yeah, Man" I said, pumping the three-burner Coleman white gas stove up under the patio awning... "It's a classic, for sure!"

The coach ran out so nice... smooth ride, literally, almost NO body roll. I was amazed, particularly after going to Mid-Ohio this PAST weekend... However, not in the BARTH. My cousin has a 40' Discovery... nice, generic "low-end-of-the-high-end" type of Freightliner chassis, air-ride, 330 Cat recent vintage unit. He offered it to us, so we drove out in our 50MPG VW TDI Golf and borrowed his. I really liked the power, and the Jake brake, and the amenities once parked, (FOUR slides!) but I tell you, on the road, my BARTH MCC REGENCY, with it's independent torsion-bar slightly-oversized-'Vette rear end REALLY was a LOT smoother of a ride. I could literally take the twisty two-lane roads in the Regency with darn-near no body roll, lean... nothing. The Freightliner was, well, tighter ('cause it's all new), but swayed, leaned... still nice, but... The MCC RULES!!!

Except I'd like to re-power it with something more than 220HP, with a Jake... and bigger, more modern brakes... ahh, well...

It's been a little over 3yrs. Welcome back duteman! Any chance of you attending a Barth GTG in Mass this year? 29 days and counting. This is the second year it is being held there.
