I still stop by every now and then to see the absolutely extraordinary job Bill has done with the website. Wow, I will tell you I'm greatly impressed. However, one thing that almost brings tears to my eye are the great GTG's and that they have been so successful. It just goes to show that the Barthmobile model of relationship oriented rallys rather intensive activity oriented rallys works. I see a lot of happy faces in the many pictures and especially the images of some great Barth Coaches.

Everything is doing well. As many of you recall I have been playing guitar since I was a kid and have been doing more of that than ever. I now play at least once a week usually more. Most are free gigs for senior citizens which is something I am approaching rapidly. SSN starts in October but I still work 40 hours in an enjoyable kinda play job.

An update for those who are interested. Rachel my 16 year old neighbor girl(and daughter Libby's BFF) who put the website together is now a journalist and has articles nationwide in Scientific American, National Geographic and many others http://www.readwriterachel.com/ .

My daughter Libby just received her masters degree in Hindi, Urdu and Arabic languages from the University of Texas, Austin and is leaving here this afternoon for a job with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in Washington DC. I still can't figure out what they "really" do. I just hope she doesn't end up as a CIA assassin. She and Rachel and her boy friend will be living together 15 blocks from the White House. Watch out Washington..

Any way, keep doing what you are doing, it is obviously working out very well.

And as I used to end every message,

God Bless and Pleasant Journeys,

Dave Bowers

Hey Dave, it's great to hear from you. Like many posters above, I, too, would enjoy hearing from you more often. You did a great job starting this thing, & N.Y. Bill has been a great act to follow you.

In the past few years, it's obvious there has been a surge of interest in Barths. Lots more posters here, & lots more coaches bought & sold, though the center of gravity is heavily oriented to the East.

Good luck in all your endeavors, and keep twangin' that git-tar.

Great to hear from you, Dave! The GTGs have indeed been great fun, emphasizing relaxation over lock-stepping to activities and fawning over people with foot-long name badge bling...Big Grin

Hey Rusty, you mean you guys don't have matching windbreakers yet.. come on..

Olroy, good to hear from you, it was good to see you that time you stopped by.

Lee, are you still running that airport. I still proudly tell people I knew the guy who runs the nations oldest airport.

Even though Olroys the only guy I have seen in the flesh you are all friends. The kind words mean everything..

I'll be around.

No, but thanks to Stinky Daddy (Wm. Mitchell), and Doug (Patch1st) we have matching tee shirts. Tom Johns provided placards for each Barth at the Goshen/Milford GTG, but all they said was the year, length, and model of the coach, not How Important the owner is...Smiler

Dave, good to hear from you. I will never forget the good advice from wayback when. I still keep thinking and trying to get my wife closer to be an "onboard" owner but the pursuit of perfection seems to be the problem on our end. Thank for all you have done and thank you for turning the reigns over to someone so capable.

Dave,

Many thanks from Cheri and Corey in NH. You are like the original Jedi. I think I'll call you Yoda!

Great vision and very Zen-like what you started here. Every day I look forward to what new adventures await on Barthmobile. Enjoy your new gig and perhaps you could make it to a get-together to play for us someday.

Hi Dave, glad to hear from you too. Apparently Bill has forgotten about a little GTG here in Florida in December. We would be glad to have you at this one also. I might even bring the Alvarez if you're going to be there.
