Smiles all around
Hello all,

After over a year of searching the internet and of course monitoring Barthmobile daily, my wife and I are the proud owners of a 1994 Breakaway. We purchased Tom Taylor's Barth yesterday and drove it home to Columbus GA last night. Put's a big smile on my face everytime I look at it. Still exchanging emails back and forth with Tom with my seemingly endless supply of questions. Tom by the way is a super guy, and my wife and I both enjoyed meeting him. I hope we can attend one of the GTG's in the near future in order to meet some of the other Barth enthusiasts.

There are some GTG's scheduled for this year but the one you surely do not want to miss is the 50th Anniversary Barth GTG that is scheduled for June of next year. Tom's Barth was there last year and I know it wants to come back for the big celebration.

Congrats on your Barth purchase, you have good taste Big Grin and welcome to Barthmobile.

Thanks for your enthusiasm and compliments on the Barth. We'll put that GTG on our calender Mary Ray. Have always enjoyed this site. It is so well put together and has become one of my daily rituals to log-on to see what's new.

You've acquired a quite decent coach; while like any vintage RV, it'll need "gifts" now and then, you'll find those worthwhile. A Barth won't fall apart faster than you can fix it.

Tom Taylor: My son, Carl Flack Jr. called you from my coach last Monday evening and told you he
was taking a pass on buying your Breakaway. Apparently he is hung up on slide outs. I hope he finds something built that lasts. He is only 64 years old.he'll learn........................

Yep, I hated to see that baby go. Carl, Carl Jr might have felt differently if he went into a wide body. I had a coach with a slide and a 5th wheel with two but never really liked messing with them.

Dana is right about the questions. They started with me calling Bill NY and his telling me where to find breakers to turn on the AC after a day in the desert. They continued from there. However, those things are big and complex and exceeded my experience level. And, I never found that owners manual like you get in a car.

Mike and his wife Diane are fine folks and will make a great addition to this great group.
