Welcome to the site! My Breakaway reminds me of what the Russians used to say of their most desirable women: Strong like ox, beautiful like tractor!

thanks doug & rusty for the greetings.i can't tell you much about my rig except that it is a 30',454,twin bed, rear bath.i bought it pretty much sight unseen.it was a "barth"what else was there to know.this is my first r.v. but all the research i have done over the last few months, plus the info i read on this site i realized that the best bang for my buck was a "barth".being from the frozen north ( canada )
i was quite surprised to find one for sale up here.i have yet to see my rig, other than the pictures on the internet (for sale ad ) and the pictures that my brother inlaw had taken when he picked it up for me.
presently it is sitting in his driveway in eastern canada (newbrunswick)
and i live in western canada (alberta) but hoping to make the final arrangements soon to bring her home.

Well Ed, sounds like you are in for a great first trip when you retrieve your Barth. I have now owned 4 of them (2 were Breakaways) and I bought them all sight unseen and have had no major problems because I bought them all from Barth lovers who maintained them impeccably. And for Lee I must say I am extremely sorry and I hope you had something else holding you up! I still have it but have recieved a substantial enough payment and word from a bank that they are going to overnight me a cashiers check so I think it is sold. I will be selling my 34', '95 Monarch in August you know! We did use the Breakaway the past few days for an extra cottage at our resort for some family and took 16 people to an exciting river rafting spot so we could all be together in one vehicle. That was a lot of fun! So was the rafting. See what you can do with your new toy Ed. Better get it picked up before your brother decides it's his toy and not yours. Remeber he is your brother!

New Brunswick to Alberta in the summer.....Now THERE'S a shake-down trip worth taking! Need a copilot? Smiler Please keep us informed of the adventure.....

Speaking of Canada, there's a Folklife Festival going on at the National Mall in DC right now. Alberta has a huge exhibit, complete with a zillion-ton Catapillar mining dumptruck. But ya have to cringe when you see the RCMP Mountie walking around in a wool scarlet tunic & jackboots with temps & humidity in the mid-to-high 90's....I'm sure he'd love to be back in Alberta right about now.......

...And Doug....Hope you sold the Breakaway to a caring new owner....Please inform him he's got a tad over two years before he's got to sell it.

Greetings Everyone,

We are new Barth owners...we just acquired a 1985 Regal 30' coach and are carefully going through it.
We've owned three other motor coaches, from a 23' Fleetwood Jamboree to a 31' Winnebago Chalet. But, we always like the Barth coaches and got the chance to get one.
We will have tons of questions in the near future...Hubby is going through the coach with a fine toothed comb and is determined that everything is as it should be.
We were delighted to find this list and all of the great information and sharing of experiences-
Very exciting for us.
Until later-
