From time to time I get these emails. This is the latest request for help from a non-member looking for advice.

Good evening,
Just ran across your website. An old friend has a 1985 Barth that his wife wants to sell. He is 85 now and is out of touch mentally. I would like to sell it for her and need to know where to sell it - also need to know a rough fair price at which it can be sold relatively quickly. Am not interested in it myself and am not going to want a top retail price - just a fair price that would give the buyer also a good deal. Roughly : It is a 1985 38 foot Regency with a Detroit diesel. Has some new Michelin tires but will need a few more. Paint is original but faded and worn in a few places - that's the worst of it. It has sat outside for the last 5 or 6 years untouched. I put new batterys in it and it started up immediately (don't think it turned over one full revolution before it started - but it was put up with additives, etc when it was last used). Running and driving. Inside is excellent. - Again the only detraction for the home is the faded out paint.
At any rate they need the money (friends I have known for 40 years and they did some poor planning) and I would like to help them out. Can you point me in the right direction and give me a clue as to the value. Would a dealer be a reasonable place to sell it to on a more or less wholesale basis? Thank you kindly. Richard
They live in Canton, Ga. So, do we have anyone close to Canton that is willing to look at her?No mileage or pictures yet, have sent a request for this info. Will post when I get this.
