Okay everybody likes pictures. Here are some things I have done as of late.

This is the new to me vacuum pump, switch and relay. When I started it up I was disappointed but after a couple of minutes things started moving. I guess they had not been moved in a long time. They all seem to be working-Success thanks for all those who put together the thread on this. Below is the air chuck that I replaced the old vacuum generator.


Next we have the new air filter for the generator. This is a McGyvered setup because Kohler has discontinued the filter and housing. This was why the generator ran so poorly. Runs like a charm now. Not sure how they wreck the old one but there was no salvaging it. Like the Blue Bunny protective shroud? I will paint it. It is cut out at the back and is just for protection. The air filter is a Kawasaki small engine filter.



Bill this one is directly from your suggestions from a picture and a question. Reattached the coolant tank and realigned the rings on the air intake tube rings.


Installed a new fuse block (other one melted) so now I don't have inline glass fuses for the air conditioners. It is also now right side up and well numbered. I also have room for who knows what to expand as I have 2 blank spaces.

In regards to the generator. What does this tag say?



Is it a K582? Does the old aircleaner look like this one?

Looks like a dead-ringer but it is a 77CCKM22 model on that tag. Serial number 335930. The air cleaner was very close to that one. After close inspection of the pictures. It has the same copper tube setup above the carb intake. The carb intake is that a rubber elbow? Mine had no hose coming off the rear for pulling in air. Where does that hose go to pull air? I had to restrict down the air flow into the carb. It was getting to much air and that would kill it.
Are you saying that you still have the generator and are willing to part with the air cleaner? I guess there is a question I didn't think to ask before I spent 2 months trying to find and then weeks trying to find and jury rig something to work. Was it nonoperational?

I'll get a better pic after the storm passes - give me a few days and I'll let you know what I have for you

Just heard the voice mail from yesterday. Hope the waters going down and things are getting back to normal. When I,m working in the Barth or out in the yard I tend not to carry my cell. It took me couple hours to find it a while back. I was crawling around under the Coach and it hooked on the frame. I had to wait for the wife to come home and call it and then follow the ring. Call anytime

After closer inspection and looking around a bit more there is a plate on the actual motor. It is inside the black shroud. You can see it when you look in the spark plug access hole.
