Bruce & Kathleen2009 Nation's Capital Barthmobile G-T-G 10/9-10/12
From the photos I have seen here, it might be more than the Cagles we have to concern ourselves with

!
Wait a minute, from past GTG's and stories from others, we might have to worry 'bout the whole Barthmobile members list

! Well, maybe not all.....
We will also be grilling on Saturday. If the weather holds out (no frost), we plan to bring Jersey corn and what ever veggies are still being grown with us...

Remember that Friday night wine tasting thing we talked about?.......better bring two bottles....it sounds like the Cagles are coming cheers
Now that ain't nice.

True but not nice.

Nick
FWIW: If yer on a veggie hunt, there's a large farmer's market less than two miles from Cherry Hill.....Toadless?...No problem, we'll get ya there! There's also a Shoppers Food Mart about a mile down the road.....You'll see it on your right immediately after turning on to Cherry Hill Road from US Rte 1 on the way in.
Now I gotta go find a DC local wine....Let's see....Ripple?...Thunderbird?....Hmmmmm

Lee, I am afraid you have terribly misunderstood the intentions of this wine tasting. We would like to sample wines
PRODUCED in the area. NOT wines
CONSUMED in the area.

Bruce & KathleenNick,
I thought they WERE produced in that area, this way keeping down the shipping costs to the manufacturers largest consuming marketplace. You know, like Bud builds a plant near alot of beer drinkers....

Bruce & Kathleen9 days to takeoff.....GET ON BOARD!!!
I think that you can bring as much wine as you like and drink as much as you want. But as for the Friday night thing, it is up to each owner to do whatever they please.

Don't worry, we won't let any Barth out with an intoxicated driver...
Anybody else grilling Saturday night other than us and the Cagles???

You might have to keep an eye on Ed & Corey. If they start lining up their golf carts,it could get ugly!

Ones that are attending the DC Getogether! Anne called a few minutes ago and said our House Representative, Heath Schuler, called and said she could have tickets to visit the White House on October 10, 2009. She put in a request for 15 people. Any one whoom wants to go, we have to have the names, date of birth, address, and social number by 11:00 am this friday. Contact me by email or phone if you want to visit the White House. Bill NY, if you can help me on this with email or phone number please advise, as I dont want to be on public domain. thanks (sky) Ray and Anne

No worries on my part,
A) my cart is in Florida,
B) I have an on-board cooler which allows me to meter out my beverage intake over time, whereas non-cooler equipped carts require the owner to tank up first!

Good deal!...It's the highlight of any DC visit..
FWIW: I'd recommend: Take the #83 bus from the campground entrance to the Rhode Island Ave. MetroRail station. Board the Red train and get off at Farragut North station. Four blocks walk to the White House. All together, allow about 90 minutes enroute.
Caveat: They are
very picky about what you're allowed to carry, and there are no on-site storage facilities. If you have a prohibited item, you're off the tour

From the White House tour website:
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, the following: handbags, book bags, backpacks, purses, food and beverages of any kind, strollers, cameras, video recorders or any type of recording device, tobacco products, personal grooming items (make-up, hair brush or comb, lip or hand lotions, etc.), any pointed objects (pens, knitting needles, etc.), aerosol containers, guns, ammunition, fireworks, electric stun guns, mace, martial arts weapons/devices, or knives of any size. The U.S. Secret Service reserves the right to prohibit any other personal items. Umbrellas, wallets and car keys are permitted. Cell phones and cell phones with built-in cameras are permitted, but will need to be turned off for the duration of your tour.
Please note that no storage facilities are available on or around the complex. Individuals who arrive with prohibited items will not be permitted to enter the White House.
