Mary, by the time you get as close as I live to DC it is all down hill. Just keep trucking down 66 and we will see you there.

I probably will be in the SOB though, so I will request to move into the campground fringe.

Since moving to Florida in February it's been a roller coaster ride involving selling a home, closing down an apartment in Tennessee buying two homes in Florida and upgrading them. It has been a lot of fun but this old body(I'm leaning on my 82nd birthday) has got to slow down. Betty and I had a great itinerary planned from Cookeville,Tn.to the GTG in DC area, but the long drive and limited time and finances leaves less desire to make the trip from Florida. We were penciled in for site #1412 so if anyone wants to change sites I will be calling the CG tomorrow to cancel my reservatiion. We're sorry to miss those we have met and sorrier we wont get to meet new friends..............................

Okay, it's been a while since I posted here, but it is time to send out the reminder....
DID YOU RESERVE A SPOT FOR THE D.C. GTG Roll Eyes??? Fuel prices seem to be somewhat in check (I don't think we will see the $4.00 a gallon this year)and before you know it, summer will be over. So what are you waiting for Confused??? Call now and book your site before it is too late Big Grin!
Bruce
p.s. We need to update our map and confirm who is reserved as of this date.

I just updated this a week ago - I believe it to be correct. Danny and Carl Flack has been removed and I moved someone else around per their request.

I just noticed... it looks like Rusty has a "Post Commitment". Frowner

If someone wants Rusty's Prime spot - Speak up now! Rusty, is this correct... you're not going? How did I miss that post?

You know... I try to read all of these, but sometimes my schedule/life/sleep gets in the way. Here is MatandAng who is trying to go too. Sorry... could you please tell us your parking preference based on this map.

Bill........you are the best! I don't know how you do it Computer, but you do.
Anyhow, it looks like we have (7) open spots on Barth Blvd. for this GTG. Why Confused? I can possibly understand not reserving a spot last year because it was sooooo far away when the original plans were made, but now it is only 4 months away. Why put off to tomorrow what you can accomplish today Click? Pick up that phone and call Cherry Hill Park (800-801-6449) and book your site on Barth Blvd. (the campground calls it Badlands Gulch) TODAY!
As a side note---did you know that this campground was named one of the best in the COUNTRY? Along with meeting new and old fellow Barth friends, getting some GREAT inside tips about your Barth, relaxing and enjoying great food, drink and company, getting a chance to explore Washington D.C. (WITHOUT having to tow that extra vehicle)...you also get a chance to check out one of the premier campgrounds!
So, like I said before...what ARE you waiting for Roll Eyes???

Sidetrip Suggestion: If there's any rag sailors contemplating joining us at the DC-GTG, you may want to consider a sidetrip to the Annapolis Boat Show on Oct. 8th-12th.....The world's LARGEST in-water boat show exclusively for sailboats!

About 45 minutes from Cherry Hill Campground, there's plenty of parking w/ shuttle service, right downtown in historic Annapolis (a tourist destination in its own right.)

Been there and did it annually. Best show in the world and the setting(water) can't be beat. Plenty of excellent sea food dining and don't forget the ice cream shop on the hill.......

Finally, after waiting and waiting and waiting, we are inside that 100 day countdown. Don't wait til all the good spots are gone.

All you folks that were at Michigan GTG know you want more. Sign up NOW. And besides Mary Ray is going to be there.

It looked like we had (8) sites available since Rusty has a prior committment Frowner (any chance they may change that date again?). But we have another Barth (MatandAng) making the trip so we're back to ONLY (7) sites available on Barth Blvd. (known as Badlands Gulch by Cherry Hill Park).
Seventeen (17) Barths Big Grin gathered at one spot (and a couple on the maybe list dazed confused)...don't you want to join the par-ty ROTFLMAO? As Nick said...SIGN UP NOW Click! This great gathering will be here before you know it.......

I have been talking to some of the Barthers that were at the Michigan GTG and hopefuly a couple of them will get to come, but it will be a last minute decision due to other commitments.
