I have booked my flight to Virginia to the Bywater's Plantation and will be arriving 9-15-2008 about 5:30 PM. Will spend tuesday getting Barth ready for her trip and on Wednesday Doug, Athena and I will be leaving for Chattanooga. It is getting close enough to get excited about.

Hope all have been practicing their go cart skills, as I might have a few surprises in store.

Jim and Tere, Doug and I plan on taking two days to get there instead of having to drive long hours and getting there in one. If you would like, I have your phone # and could call you the night before we get to that exit so we could meet up and proceed to the GTG.

Tell her not to worry, as I'll bring my Florida Gator Catcher Kit, which also works on bears.

The kit consists of binoculars,, tweezers, and an empty mayonnaise jar. I simply look through the "wrong end" of the binoculars until the bear is very small, pick him up with the tweezers, and drop him into the mayonnaise jar. Problem solved!

Note this is different from the technique for defending against polar bears. With polar bear, one sprinkles peas around the icehole that the bears have been frequenting; when the polar bear comes up to take a pea, you kick it in the icehole.

I've taken a Google overhead view of the site and added parking space numbers/names to the view.

The map on their website doesn't show enough detail. Here is a Super Sized Image of the campground's map.

Mary, I contacted the campground and told them that while looking at the Google overview of the campsite it seems that slot 22 was small. I told Matt, from Racoon Mountain, that your coach was 33' and he said it wouldn't fit. He wants to move you to 16, 18, 140 or 131.

Give Matt a call: (800) 823-CAMP
