Petersburg Campground on Clarks Hill lake is only about 9 miles from my house. It is a Corp of Engineers Campground and the regular rate is $22.00 a night. Seniors with an ACCESS pass pay 1/2 price. So that's a total of 2 gallons of fuel and $11.00 to enjoy the Barth and get out of the house.

View of the Barth with the lake in the background.

Camp sites are large, clean, and well equipped.

Donna and Hank enjoying the fire, contemplating the price of oil, considering what to do about the national deficits, and what Nick's got in that glass.

Looks like a very nice place Nick! With fuel prices going crazy we will be looking closely at all the local places around here.

Which direction from the house Nick? Is it a Georgia State Park? If so I have to ammend my criticism of GSPs to only include Reed Bingham in Adel. Looks like a beautiful park and priced right.

Danny, it's north. Our house is on Hwy 221. From I-20 when you get off to come to the house, instead of stopping at the house, just continue on 221 about another 9 miles. This is a Corp of Engineers campground but there are several State Parks near by just as nice. They are also on the lake. Biggest difference is cost. COE gives us a 50% discount but the SP discount is only 20%.
