Danny ZHydro Races, Augusta Georgia
Talked with Ed yesterday and it sounds like everything is set for the July [18-20?] Hydroplane races. He gets spots right in the thick of things and he'd have to tell you about other availability for RV's, if anyone else is inclined to watch boats go really fast. 240 under 5 seconds in the quarter mile! Looking forward to meeting Nick and perhaps some others. Bill, don't know exactly where they have the races so a pin on Augusta would suffice for now.

We have a new feature that I just placed in service about an hour ago. If you go to the "Map the Barths" forum and type in a mailing address you'll get the info I need for the map pins. Try it out and let me know where to place the pin.
The info is located in the lower left corner and a brief tutorial on how to use it can be found here.

Nick CagleBill, zoom in on Augusta, You will see several bridges crossing the river from Augusta to South Carolina. The Races are only a few hundred yards south of the last bridge going south on the river.

Danny and I are staying in the pit area in spots I reserved last month. I can call to see if they have any left. It's the only area close to the races for RV's. If you are bringing a tow vehicle with you there are lots of camp grounds up at the lake (45 min.)but at that time of the year you will need to make them early.
Maybe Nick knows of some closer.
ED.

Neil T.Ed,
It looks like I am late to the party as usual. I would have loved to be in pit area but I understand thay need to be reserved early. If any are available let me know but dont go out of your way. The web site has some links to campgrounds, I will check some of them out.
Thanks, Neil.
