Will be in the Chicago/Milwaukee area later today. Re-union starts tomorrow.

Barth has been running well however I got another TPS code from the trans controller, I think when I put the head back on, I didn't get the linkage EXACTLY where is was, and I didn't check the TPS settings after the repair. It does reset so I know the adjustment isn't far off. Will look at this when I get to my sister's place later today.

We are not sure of our schedule on leaving for the Howell MI area, probably will be on Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

Once we are at my brother's place near Howell MI we will decide the route we take to NH, thinking about going up into Canada and along the St Lawrence but we have so much food that we don't know if we can get thru without throwing away some stuff.

We have logged in 1900 miles so far, travel has been easy but Wifey's back is giving her trouble(again) so we are going a bit slower and taking time to stop and loosen up a bit.

More later.

You should not have a problem with the food coming into Canada. No firewood allowed. Pets should have vaccination records. No guns of course.
You may have more of a problem with food going back to the US and you MUST HAVE passports.
Any chance you'll make it to Niagara Falls
Have a good trip.

Ed & Wifey: We're just 20 miles north of I-94 via M-40 at the Paw Paw, MI exit. If you have any problems (hope not, but...) call my cell which I will PM to you now.

Best of luck and enjoy what looks like a great trip!

Safe and sound in Antioch, IL now after 2250 miles. Had our first GTG with the '59 gang and will be touring the school with a banquet this evening. I am the one that traveled the longest distance for the re-union.

Barth ran good, the trans threw another TPS code, very briefly so I reset the TPS unit abit higher in value and will see if this will get it more in range. I don't have the diagnostics for the transmission so I am just going by other methods to dial it in. I may have to replace the TPS unit if this change doesn't stop the fault from showing up.

Refueling has been so easy now that I changed the filler point to the top front of the tank! It will click off 5 gallons +/- from full every time, takes just a few minutes to bring the fuel to the top of the neck, and we are outa there. Longest run on one fill has been 590 miles. Have averaged 10.6 MPG to this point. With the exception of IL, we were running 70 MPH consistently.

It looks like we will go straight up North from here thru Northern WI and around Lake Michigan, across the bridge and down the eastern side of MI to Howell MI. Our plans will be changing daily now as Wifey picks out various interests that she finds along an intended route. I will try to visit any Barthers along the way BUT as mentioned the route may change. Have copied phone numbers from those that PM me and will call if we get close and can visit.

Looking forward to the DC GTG!

Continuing onward, we had a great re-union over the weekend and then left very late on Saturday night, SORRY, didn't think those of you on the way from Chicago would like a call in the middle of the night!

We are currently in Erie PA, getting ready to move onward to Buffalo and the Falls, guess we will be viewing the falls from the USA side Don, after that making our way to NH and VT thru upstate NY.

Road construction has our biggest nemesis! Lots of LONG delays.

Weather has been good, but, probably to warm to start the leaf changing. It has been cloudy so driving has been easy but that also dulls the colors.

Since adding the 3000 watt inverter and tightening all the HVAC clamps and adding R12, I haven't used the generator once, Dash A/C is working very well.

Ed,

Where is your target in NH and when? We are here in the Lake Sunapee region and could easily host you or at least meet up for a hi!

We're here through the weekend, although I have an enduro ride planned for Sunday.

Don't really have a target in NH, we are still at the Falls (parked at the Casino USA side) tonight and tomorrow (Friday), will leave this area after a 4 hour tour starting at noon. You could PM me you phone number and I will call you if we get close to your area on Saturday.

Over this weekend w will probably have a better idea of our intended routing.

Looks like the weather will hold up at least for today. Don't miss the Maid of the Mist boat cruise.
Hope you have a great time in the Falls!

Don, thanks for the tip, we did get on the "Miad". We only came into Canada via a tour, sorry we didn't hook up!

We had a very enjoyable layover at Corey and Cheri place in NH, Jack came up and we had a mini Barth GTG! Corey and Cheri were wonderful hosts, For a time Corey had 2 Barths in his driveway. THANKS
for the time and attention you all gave to us!

We are in Portland Maine now and heading down the coast. our plans are to stop in MA and NJ heading to DC, we will be in DC a bit earlier but do not have a final ETA.

We are probably 1-3 weeks early for the full color of leaf changing but did see some amazing color displays as we came across VT and NH.

Had some fairly heavy rain storms and found another leak in the roof---more to do when I get home!!--

4000 miles so far, averaging right at 10.7 MPG.

Hey Tarzan and Jane, thanks for coming and it was our pleasure having you for the mini-gatherin'.

Did you make it to Franconia Notch? Did you love the "Kanc"? Did you make it over to Peak's Island? Inquiring minds want to know.

Corey
