I think your itemization says nearly the same thing as I said. #2 say exactly what I said. #3 cost is because the LED back lighting is much more expensive then florescent lighting, there are two types of LED lighting also, edge lit and full back light. Edge lit uses an array of LED around the LCD panel whereas full back lit is what it says and is better because it is more uniform. I was not including plasma in my comments. Hi Ed, Glad you had such a great trip to MX...and especially for the safe return. I used to travel to Juarez periodically, as we had a plant there, and I was responsible for the financial aspects of it. Felt safe back then; today, I don't know anyone who would want to travel to Juarez. What a shame. Anyway, wonderful to hear what you guys did for those folks. I'm interested to hear about your TV project, as I have been considering upgrading my still original installation (hard to believe this was considered a decent TV back then!). I too have been trying to figure out how to put in a decent sized unit while making it look good in the process. Looks like you may beat me to it (as usual), in which case I may well copy your approach. Good luck!
