I inquired of Costco and Sams to find out if they sell diesel fuel at any of their stations. I had not seen it, but have saved money on their gas. Costco responded by telling me there was not enough volume at a test site. So, none have it.
HOWEVER, Sams responded as follows:
Sam's Club began making diesel fuel a part of the standard format for newly built gas stations around 2005. Today, we have 109 gas stations selling diesel fuel.

We have not yet gone back to an existing gas station to add a new underground diesel storage tank due to the high costs of doing so. But we have added gas stations to older sites that did not have a gas station already when that Club was updated and remodeled.

Unfortunately, we don't have any diesel sites near you, and none in Michigan actually.

There is a way to search for diesel sites, or any Sam's Club gas stations, on the Sam's Club website. You can copy and paste this link:
http://www.samsclub.com/sams/p...?pageName=fuelCenter

With that link, select the desired state, and it will return all open gas stations there. Under the hours of operation, "Diesel Available" will appear in bold if that site offers diesel.

We have a SAM'S CLUB diesel fueling spot in Middletown, NY and use it whenever we can.

Thanks for the link but when I checked it doesn't show my store as even having a fuel pump.

Sam's Club in Orange Park, FL sells gaso but not diesel. However, many Wal-Marts in the south have a Murphy Oil station, a large number of which have diesel. The downside is that most are extremely tight for a motorhome - even my 28'.

Prices are usually $.05 to $0.15 below market.

I have noticed recently that their listed prices that used to be a couple of cents lower than others are now the same as average. I guess they still have the WM discount card but I stopped using it when my credit card company started rebating me 5% on charged fuel purchases. ...15+ cents per gallon not bad!

Dick, is the 5% rebate given 12 months out of the year and on all gas purchases? And is it given anywhere fuel is purchased? Is it given on diesel fuel? Discover gives 5% for 3 months out of year with up to $40 rebate I think it is. Ray

So far all my gas purchases charged to this card are credited @5% on each monthly statement whether it is bought at 7-11, Turkey Hill or Racetrack, CircleK or wherever as well as 1.25% on grocery charges. I don't know about diesel, but I suspect so.

so I go to the trouble of getting a PILOT / Flying J Frequent Fueler Card and register it both in person and on line...
go to use it for the first time yesterday at Fremont, IN. had gotten diesel fuel in Southern Indiana the day before from Speedway near Fishers, IN for about $4.28. thought THAT was high considering the signs I had been seeing. But NO, HIGH was $4.42 at the Angola PILOT. Ahh, but my card entitled me to reduce that price by $0.03. Can you say "ooooo" boys and girls?
In all seriousness, others have commented that diesel without DOT tags can be very expensive in the state of Indiana. As soon as I got back in michigan, I saw several signs for diesel with actual price around $4.05 for anybody.

Got it here at Walmart for 3.81 (Tennessee), get your card loaded in the store and get 3 cents off. We usually check the websites for Pilot/FlyJ and Love's because it can vary widely. And do not worry even with a DOT number Indy is expensive because it got a split fuel tax and a surcharge on IFTA for semis ... (11 cents per mile run in IN).

Truck stops used to be about the cheapest place to buy diesel, but now they are the more expensive places to buy. There has been a drop of almost $20 a barrel in crude oil recently and the big truck stops are slow to catch up. Truckers don't really care anymore, because they bill with a fuel surcharge.
