With a half hour or so left, it was up to $2808. We didn't buy it either, but we talked about it.

I agree with Danny - what a great deal!!! What's it got in it?

It's got a 460 and Allison automatic. Goes like it's new. Rides like a truck with no weight in it.

It was a Ryder and I bought it from a truck place and the salesman worked for Ryder for 15 years. He said it's not uncommon to find the occasional very low mileage units as Industrial type companies will lease them for occasional runs between locations and the like. The gas units are far less popular than diesels right now due to the economy of them. I insured him that this one will get the same fuel mileage as a diesel sitting in a storage lot!!

Danny, which Sta-Bil are you using? I always use the red bottle, but a lot of people say I should be using the green bottle because of the 10% ethenol in todays gas.

I use GasShok
http://usafuelservice.com/
Don is a dealer for it, and I've seen what it does. I run it in the coach to try to make up for the ethynol garbage in our gas and it seams to help. I'd definately run it in Stu, along with a lead additive.

Long story short, we took 2 jars of gas from an old boat, let them sit over night to separate the water, about 1 inch in the bottom, then added a few drops of GasShok to one jar and stirred it a little. The water mixed back in with the gas, and never separated again, at least a year later, and the gas still looks clear and smells fine. The other jar separated quickly and has long since "gone over".
