1997 BARTH MONARACH I'm not sure if it is the same one as the one we talked about earlier this year or not, 97 Monarch on Ebay. If it is the same one, the onwer put on 18,000 miles in less than a year! I don't think I've ever said this before, but I almost think they posted too many pictures, and I love pictures! This is Corey and Cherie's coach, traded on their Bluebird. It's not the same one that was on eBay earlier. What are they telling us with this sticker? The wording is somewhat confusing. By the way - that is one beautiful coach and an excellent presentation. W4JDZ

So they gave Corey 75 g trade-in, and they want 40 buy-it-now. 79 Barth Classic

Yes, Rusty is correct, it's my and Cheri's old Barth. Danny is right in the numbers, shows you what big markup are built in to RV numbers. I was surprised they didn't start higher, this Barth is a bargain. If anyone wants a detailed report on it, I can do that. Send me your name and phone and we can go over it all. I've owned it for the last 3 years and put about 16K on it. If you call Josh or Stephanie at Day's RV in Corbin, KY, they will treat you very well. Tell them Corey says hi and is happy with the new Bluebird. The nice thing about it being at a dealer is that you can trade yours in rather than own two. That is a standard Class II hitch. It doesn't mean the coach can or can't tow more, but it creates the tow limit for the hitch alone. Class III bump up to 5000 lbs I believe. I towed a 16' enclosed trailer with motorcycles on-board with no issues. What did your motorcycle trailer weigh? Many folks tow over capacity with "no issues" for the most part, but the hitch is limited at 3500# for a reason. Probably because of how it's attached to the frame of the motorhome, even if the motorhome powertrain pulls it just fine. Which means frequent towing over 3500# will weaken the frame attachments and can eventually cause it to fail. My motorhome hitch was limited in a similar way, so I had a welder fabricating guy add a bunch of metal plates and bolts to beef up the whole thing. Pretty interesting (yet unfortunate) that this Monarch's hitch specifically instructs the reader "DO NOT CUT, DRILL, WELD, OR MODIFY" ...

Welder fabricating guys beef things up to perform and last. Lawyers just make little plates to put on hitches. 79 Barth Classic

Well said Danny! I think my trailer weighed in at about 3499 lbs. Diesel, and it's a 7.5 KW, not a 7KW as they stated in their ad.
