Is this a pusher or a puller? I'm guessing pusher and that's why the bump up, but it doesn't look like enough verticcal room for a Cummins in the space to the floor??. As a toy hauler that's a long way up for a ramp. Maybe a wheelchair lift is in order. It would be cool to have a deck off a bedroom too. Replace the door with glass sliders and design a fold down deck.

Custom RV, Toy Hauler, Business RV, etc. - $9000 (Utica)

Ok, this is a great vehicle and priceless to the right person. Mechanically great. This unit sits on a Freightliner chassis, powered by a Cummins Turbodeisel (same engine as in Orion city buses) and an Allison automatic transmission. It has an air-ride suspension, which lowers when the engine is shut off. The tires are great and the brakes were done this spring with no real miles thereafter, it was inspected this summer. Only has 44,000 miles and the unit is a 1996, it is 29.5 feet long. The coach was custom built by Barth Industries as a portable medical office, doing mammograms. It has seating for 4-6, cabinets, 2 small rooms (dressing), and a large 9X8 room in the back. There is also a 4X6 cargo door in the rear for loading. If you are looking for a Toy hauler this would be a great vehicle. Also, if you need a construction shop truck or mechanical truck, catering/vending truck, or any portable business office. Use your imagination---the potential is there. It is very heavy duty. Please call with any questions. Doug 315 982-0816, 315 797-7644. Please note, I do not check my e-mails often---so please call.
I just called Doug. The numbers are

It would be nice to know the GVWR too, then we could tell what kind of toy to put in the toy hauler.

He said it was 18,000lbs GVRW - I did not ask if it had a tow hitch.

I've edited my post to reflect that now.

I may have my Gvs mixed up, but don't you take the GVWR and subtract the GVW to get load capacity of the vehicle? As a toy hauler you'd want to know how much weight it could hold in the back. I'm sure it's not 18K.

I'm not sure of anything - I only repeated what he said.

I've asked for an image of the tag. We'll see what it says then.

If he gives me the VIN# I could tell what class rating it belongs in.

Sounds good. I think we've learned in previous discussions that some RVs are built so close to the max that a box of Kleenex can tip them over their limit. I'm thinking this one may be an exception as that bay obviously was intended to hold something, and a likely heavy something at that!

Seems to have grown about 3 1/2 feet since it was built.

As long as we're guessing... I'll go with an X-Ray machine.

I see the rear section is lead lined. Wonder how much it adds to weight? All who wander are not lost.

What a cool ride. If it wasn't 1700 miles from home I'd already be looking at this one.
