1989 Barth Motor Home 20ft, in pristine shape! This is truly an exquisite motor home, with a full bath and shower, 4-speaker stereo, spotless white Corian countertops, and large microwave and refrigerator. This beautiful motor home has been gone over and looks nearly new! It also has self-leveling jacks, CB radio, a 454 V-8 engine, and only 64,000 miles! It is all aluminum, definitely a quality product.

The newest Barth, with that paint scheme, I can find is a 1997 Model.

That's the same paint scheme as ours. It looks longer than 20'... I didn't think they made them shorter than 22' after around 1980?

Also, the interior is nearly identical to ours, same cabinetry and layout except for the nicer Corian counter top. Ours is laminate.

At least now I can visualize what ours will look like with an awning. I've read on here how much everyone enjoys their awnings.

Can one of our VIN experts decode the number for us (listed above)? That would probably reveal the actual length. I like what I see in this coach; it's a shorty like I'm looking for.

Get a picture of the data tag and it'll tell you. You will not get a length based on a vin#.

I did send a message to the seller of this coach requesting a photo of the data tag... even mentioning where it might be found. However, since this seller has zero (0) feedback and posts very few photos and a short description for such an expensive item, he/she/they are likely new sellers (read inexperienced) at eBay, OR... (as we've seen in the past)... some kind of scammers. I'll post the data tag photo if one ever is sent, but I ain't holding my breath. I thought maybe we'd get to the bottom of the length question and also it would help w/data tag project.

I sent this guy a question over 3 days ago. No response. Ebay reports no responses to any questions sent his way.

We know he's monitoring his ad because 4 offers have been "declined." He's apparently holding out for his $12K "buy it now" price.

Way too much to pay for a mystery coach. I smell a rat.

Guess it sold for $10,010. I never did hear back on my polite request for a data tag shot.

Nor any response to me, on either of my inquiries. I hope the buyer gets what he's paying for.... Let's hope he/she finds this site and joins the family -- and send in that data tag shot!

I see that this unit is back on e-bay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&hash=item27cc74ba49

I sent the seller a note as follows:

"I noticed that this Barth sold last month for $10010. What happened to that deal? You are calling this a 20' length, but I can't find where Barth made anything less than 22' after about 1980. Could you post a photo of the data plate with model identification? How old are the tires? Are there any issues that would prohibit it being driven to Oklahoma as it sits? Would you object to having someone in your area who is familiar with these Barth coaches look it over as proxy for the bidder?"

We will see if he responds this time.

Steve
