Driving by the Mill Casino RV Park in North Bend Oregon we spotted a bus conversion that we recognized, so when we got through with the bank, auto parts, and groceries, we stopped by on our way back. Nobody home and just as we were going to leave a note the people came back. Hadn't seen them for 3 years so we visited for awhile. Finally left and as we are headed back to the entrance, looked over and saw a Barth sitting there. Got the FMCA number off of it and it belongs to Garry Porterfield from Sierra Vista Az. Anybody know him? We will be back down there on Saturday and i will see if he is still there and tell him about Barthmobile if he is not already a member. Big Grin

Yes I know Gary. He is a major traveler. I had the pleasure of Gary visiting me when I lived in Cookeville, Tennessee. He has a super web where you can track his travels. After he left my driveway, I found the dog's leash tied to one of the trees on the lawn, tried to chase him down but gave up after 1/2 hour. Only God,Gary and the dog knew the route to the next destination......

No picture, we didn't take the camera with us. That picture that you posted is probably as good or better as any that we could get. Lots of rigs around him.

Bill, I use another mapping facility on datastormusers.com that is semi-automatic. The common interest there is satellite internet access.

If I set it up to notify you of all my moves when traveling, will you be able to handle the move? Would be nice to keep current on your vacation list also. This way I do not have to be diligent enough to remember 2 places to update.

I will put the gps coord in the message. The email will come from @datastormusers.com, in case you have to add the domain to your spam filter whitelist.

I typically relocate weekly, plus or minus.
Garry has one of those Data Storm Devices on his coach.

He's never made it a secret, and his signature profile lists a link for this too, but in case anyone forgot...

Here is where you can find him... User 390

North Bend, OR - just another one of the 100's of little tourist towns on Hwy 101 on the OR coast. Dismal conditions at the Mill Casino, gravel lot (but level), lots of traffic noise, similar too but different from the sea noise. BUT AT LEAST IT IS NOT RAINING HERE (at this time)!
Here is his signature profile. He keeps updating his travel blog and posts some pretty good commentary - recommended reading - He's another members who really gets to use his coach alot!!!

I found his blog when i hit the link to the sinkstopper topic and did some reading of his blog. Sounds like he is on the move and probably won't be there tomorrow when we go back to the auto parts to pick up my order.

I know that he has that in his profile but the FMCA listing shows it as Sierra Vista so who knows which one is current.

Yo, Shadow and all. I am still here, at least until Monday! I have picked out a non-casino stop at Edson Creek BLM CG, NE of Port Orford - anyone been there, done that?

I don't like casinos, but but they are convenient and easy to find. But this one has a DISMAL food setup, with a buffet at $20, and that only on weekends! I am told that it is a great meal, but definitely of my budget. The last stop at a casino had cheap food that was good for the price, but alas, it would not stop raining. But I have had a couple of delicious fresh seafood dinners over at Charleston, bargains at $10-$12.

And for the record, the dog doesn't know where I am going either. I always ask her advice, but being deaf and about 75% blind, she just smiles and nods.

Shadowman, I take it that you are not the person from TX that dropped by to tell me about his '86 40-foot Barth sitting in a barn in TX? I told him that it definitely needed some exercise. I failed to get his name. A construction worker.

Sorry that my blog sometimes degrade into a rant, especially if I have no pics, and right now I ain't even got a camera!

I have been recalcitrant about my Barthmobile visits. Gotta go as I am loosing track of the Netflix movie.

Garry, nope, not from Texas. Originally from Wa. state, and for the last 10 years been a resident of AZ. Don't have a Barth, found a bus conversion before i could find a Barth in the size/ layout/price range i could afford at the time. Maybe our paths will cross again somewhere down the road.
