Jim and TereTalked to the dealer. Previous owner had engine installed. Doing 6 months of missionary work now. Bought by dealer salesman who is the one who has it on consignment. Car Fax says mileage unknown. Dealer is getting me info on chassis, transmission, generator etc. Guess I have nothing else to do but this.

Jim and TereAccording to the dealer, this was originally a pusher. So cross member etc not a question? I had never heard of a Regal diesel pusher but that's only because I never heard of one. I've asked for vin # and data tag info.

MWrenchInstrument panel is later model GM, If it has a Duramax engine probably came from the factory that way, if that is the case why the replacement?

Jim and TereThe engine swap was done in 2002 and the owner at that time replaced a GM 6.5 with the Duramax. There have been at least three owners since then, one which sold it back to the dealership. The current owner is a salesman for the dealership. There is also an odometer reading on a repair ticket in Jan 2003 of 40000 miles. Is there someone who lives close to Troy Ohio who could look at this?

Jim and TereThe VIN number 4S7RT9P12RC014509 indicates it is a 1994 Spartan KC1000 chassis, originally fitted with a 6.5 l6 Turbo. I believe it has a 5speed Allison. The Duramax was swapped in 2002. At some point, the odometer stopped working because Car Fax states the mileage is unknown. Barth did make a Regal Diesel pusher in 1995. It has a side bath, rear queen, side dinette. Has basement air. Think the suspension is air assist. Brakes air over hydraulic. I'm going to make them an offer. Will let you know how it goes.

I am 10 mile away. Might be able to get by Thursday or Friday. Other than rust issues is there anything else you want me to check out.

RustyAs mentioned, being a pusher, there would be no crossmember/sump issues. The speedometer may have stopped working because it was incompatible with the Allison (original would have been a 4L80E). The 1000 Chassis is the same as on most 28' and 30' Breakaways.

Jim and TereWonder if it would have the same issues as mwrench has reported about the bolts holding the chassis to the coach coming loose and breaking.
