I just received an email from Cathy VanLanginham that included the following: Hello all, This is Cathy Vanlaningham, I thought I would share with you some information on the passing of a former Barth Inc. employee, Roy Archer (one of the first hirings) died last week at the age of 90. I remember Roy quite well even though I was very young when we moved to Milford for the Barth venture. Roy hired my husband Larry right out of High School. Roy and his wife had just celebrated 70 years of marriage! I think those of you whom were at the previous rally a few years ago remember Roy being there. Roy was an honered Vetran and was given high honers for his service to other Vetrans. While going through things recently I found a business card of my husbands (the real Larry, not the imposter! lol) with his Superintendant info on it. I also found a check stub from 1977 and my he made a lot of money! (NOT,) makes one wonder how we ever survived. But then again a gallon of milk wasn't $4.00 and gas wasn't either! Hope all of you are doing well and still enjoying your coaches as time travels on. It is an honer to have a wonderful group of people so dedicated to something that is dear to my heart. Thanks again for your kindess. Happy Travels, Cathy ------------ Lou | ||
