Thanks guys! I am still wondering if I really need to do this at all and if so, what the benefit would be. As previously stated, I didn't do anything but wash Barth I and it always looked pretty good. But that could also have to do with the colors it was. I am looking at trying to make the 18 year old exterior paint on Barth II stable and easy to maintain more than making it shine. I have a couple of spots near the front window that the clear has peeled off already, which I intend to have fixed. I certainly understand the benefits to you, Lee. Tom...what where you trying to get out of using Glare and what benefit did you get by using the product on the painted surface? 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

I wanted to make it shine and mostly protect the paint from the bugs with big teeth that seem always intent on punching holes in the front of the coach. It also makes any streaking from the roof wash right off without scrubbing. 1993 32' Regency Wide Body, 4 speed Allison Trans, Front Entry door, Diamond Plate aluminum roof & 1981 Euro 22' w Chevy 350 engine and TH 400 tranny

Tom, Do the bugs just wash off now or do you still have to work at it to get them off? 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

They washed right off and in fact I noticed the bugs washing off the windshield as I drove through the rain. They recommend the polish for window glass so I did them too. Very happy so far. 1993 32' Regency Wide Body, 4 speed Allison Trans, Front Entry door, Diamond Plate aluminum roof & 1981 Euro 22' w Chevy 350 engine and TH 400 tranny

Yea, they were the photos I had originally posted. Then I realized they were from when I first bought he car. The ones I replaced them with on my post are the most current photos. This thing runs. It will give the 440 Swinger a run for it's money because of it being able to use the available power better. It is the main reason I had to get rid of the column shift. This Scamp deserved more control of the shifts. Oh, and sorry for the thread drift... Back to to polishing and sealing those Barth's!!! 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

Lee & Tom---Another question. How long does the Glare last? Reason I ask is in regards to the couple of areas that my clear has peeled and the paint is fading. I may not get to repainting these areas this year (its not terrible yet). If I coat with Glare, what will I have to do to get it off these areas to repair the paint/clear? I'm thinking if I coat it with the Glare this year it may keep those areas in the condition they are now without them getting worse. 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

It says 18 months with "normal car wash detergent",but I have only had it on for 2 months.Base coat clear coat is a two part system that has to be combined to afford protection. I also have some peeling of the clear on the Fiberglas front cap and no amount of wax or polish will make the base shiny. It has virtually no resistance to flaking or powdering off. The paint shop will use their commercial prep to de-gloss and remove all coatings. They sand and then seal it with new base and clear and you get another five years. Once the clear goes you should repaint as son as possible. 1993 32' Regency Wide Body, 4 speed Allison Trans, Front Entry door, Diamond Plate aluminum roof & 1981 Euro 22' w Chevy 350 engine and TH 400 tranny
