Is there any way that we can tell who is in the chat room without having to actually enter there. There is a listing of all that are on the site, could we just change the color of their name if they are also in the chat room, or some similar method of notification.

They have been asking about this for awhile.

Do I have this right? You can sign in to "chat" and then go elsewhere in "barthmobile", when someone comments in "chat" a bell will ring and you can click back to "chat" to see who and what. I know you cannot tell who until you go to "chat"but at least you aren't staring at an empty screen waiting.

Dick, that is how it is SUPPOSE to work. I often do exactly that when I sign into the Chat room. Actually you can go or do anything else on the computer as long as the Chat room is open and minimized on the screen.

Across the top of the chat screen is a picture of a little bell, it must be on (both participants)for this feature to work and sound must be on.

There is another way that I can think of but I'm not yet sure it works.

1. Go to the Chat Room and rather than minimizing it select the middle button which just shrinks it and makes it into a window that can be re-sized.
2. Open up another session of Explorer and shrink that one as well.
3. Move the windows so they're side-by-side and form-fit the overall screen.

You can then go about your Barth or non-Barth business on the 2nd window whilst keeping an eye on the Chat window.

(I have no idea whether this will work or not, for here I sit waiting for someone to show up on Chat and I see nothing. MR: Where are you when I need you?)
