I used to know how to do this but I've slept since then and forgot. How do you add the "originally posted by" quotes to a post? 79 Barth Classic

In the lower right hand corner of a particular post, there is a "folder" icon that, once selected, will open a reply page with everything that was typed within that post. Place your cursor over it and you'll see "Reply With Quote." Whatever was entered in that post will be contained within the "Quote" HTML codes. In this case, when I selected it, your post opened inside the HTML codes. If I only want to respond to a specific thing you typed, I delete anything I don't need. You can also use the "Quote" button that shows up at the top of the page after you select "Reply To This Post." Using that method would require you to cut and paste whatever you wanted to reply to. You can always cut and paste and type in the HTML code yourself. Having said this, I'm sure there is an easier way to do it but I'm fairly computer illiterate.

There are 3 different ways to do this. 1) You use the opening quote and ending /quote tags. [quote]Originally posted by member: [/quote] 2) Respond to the members post by using the icon in the lower right corner that has a " over the folder. It's just below the picture in your signature profile. 3) Highlight the text you want to quote and then click the "Reply To This Post".
