Time to say thanks
As many of you know Barb and I have been planning on buying a Barth coach for some time. We've been impressed by the membership and its inclination to help other owners and wannabees like us. We've watched a lot of coaches come marching by while we waited.
It so happens Nick and Donna Cagle live relatively near the one we focused on (John Laughter's). And Rusty Keeney is building his man-cave at Deerlick Astronomy Village, a mere 30 miles west of Nick & Donna. Dare I ask these two fine gentlemen, who, by the way are in the top echelon of Barthmobile.com, to do a pre-look at this Barth?
Yup.
They didn't hesitate. Today was the day, and I have to admit, I waited by the phone for most of it. These two guys gave us their day, did a detailed report (can you guess they know what they're talking about?) and gave me all the positive information I wanted to hear.
And so we shall be off to Atlanta very shortly, and will no longer have to worry about sitting at a campsite with no coach around us (we did that once at Milford last year). We'll actually be part of the gang who attend Milford again (reservations made) and will look for other GTGs we can reach.
So how do you thank two people who give so unselfishly? For starters, in front of everyone.
Thanks, guys. It was a day we won't forget for a long time.

Congratulations Lou on finally finding your Barth. We've got a spot saved for you here for EAA, or any other time you might find yourself in the area.

Moonbeam-ExpressGood for you guys

I'm glad Nick went along to make sure Rusty didn't go on the roof.
You certainly got two of the "good guys" to evaluate your new coach, but remember, things can still go wrong (and will). If things do go wrong, you can do as my Grandson does, blame it on Casper. Poor Casper gets a lot of blame, but I never seem to find him to give him the chewing out he deserves.

In this day and age folks seem to point elsewhere when the decisions they make don't work out. I couldn't ask Nick & Rusty to do what they did if I was going to blame them somewhere down the road.
It is what it is: "Hey guys, what do you think?" Their responses are honest and constitute their impressions of the moment (and are especially valuable given their level of expertise and experience).
Regardless of what the future holds for Barb and I, the responsibility rests squarely on us. We are grateful.
I see Bill_NY has fixed us up with a new Avatar. Thanks, Bill. Your constant support is truly appreciated, and not just by us.
Tom (TJ): Probably not this year but we'll take a rain check. Can't wait. Many thanks.

Jim and TereHey Lou,
So glad to hear about you moving forward into a barth rather than just hangin' out with us here in cyberland. Can;t wait to see your future posts with pictures, adventures, yes & "opportunities" to discover what you have & why it isn't doing something it should be.
When you head north let us know as we are about 4+ hrs from Nick & Donna off of 75. If you would like we would love to have you visit or just meet us if you don't want to make a long stop.
Hope you brought your camera!!!
Tere & Jim
