RustyGreat! Most amateur scopes can reach out only a couple of billion light years,and then only to the nearest quasar,
3C 273 - and it's not easy to spot...BTW, a "parsec" is about 3.26 light years, the distance at which a nearby star would appear to move one second of arc (360 degrees to a circle, 60 minutes to a degree, 60 seconds to a minute of arc) against the background. The first star, BTW, to have its distance measured so is Denebola, the star in Leo's (The Lion)
rump.
