I just bought two new defroster vents on EBay to replace the cracked ones on my 97 Monarch. I know several others were looking as this has been discussed here before. The seller had more than two, but not sure how many more. Here is the EBay auction number: RV - Defrost Vent 21-1/2" x 2-1/16" - NEW Item number: 160322082017

Good luck,
Corey

Were these the same ones you asked Tom to order for you?

Does anyone know which style Tom ordered up for everyone?

The top ones are the ones I need. I will definitely take an extra set from Tom too. Glad you reminded me as I lost total track of the thread that Tom started. Where do you find the time Bill? I'm lucky to remember what ?I had for lunch yesterday!!

I remember the post and I always assumed it was this one.

When I saw what you were talking about (went to ebay) it took me by surprise. Now I'm wondering which one Tom has ordered.

It never occurred to me that you were talking about this style.

So I said...
quote:
Confused Now I'm confused...
I would have sworn it was the upper photo everyone was talking about. But, seeing that neither style of mine, I have both, are cracked, I never looked to see a part number.

Well don't feel bad Bill, the Mars lander got screwed up because somebody didn't use the metric system and that cost millions!

Working for an English company, we often joke that we're two countries separated by a common language. Communication is truely an art form. God only knows how many vents there are total on our Barths.

Hi Folks! The "skinny" vents are in and I am beginning the mailing tomorrow morning. Medic37 sent a check which my Great Dane ate so his are going out "on the come". I have 4 reservations for the 12 sets we purchased and so there are more available. I just installed the first set in my Regency and they are perfect matches. This time we don't screw down the vent, just tighten to the point where they contact the dash and sit flush. The $32 per set includes shipping and we are donating $2 per set to Barthmobile.com so Bill_NY can keep the system running. They will be sent Post Office in a small box but they do not come with screws so keep your originals. Send me a PM with your real name and address and I'll give out the address for the check.

PS those "other" vents are just GM out of a suburban. Take on old one to a GM dealer and they will find a suitable replacement.
