I've wanted a Class C forever. I want it, I want it, I want it. Then we would have 'His and Hers' or is that 'Hers and His'? Jim

Seriously, Bill, how do I contact them? I didn't see them in the directory and when I click on the PM link all I see is the blank form for sending a PM. Jim

Exactly... I wasn't told to include his number in this so, for now, you'll have to contact them via PM. I just called them for you Jim and gave them your phone numbers - cell and house.

I was looking at the pics and thought that looks like the Ocracoke ferry, then saw that they're in NC, so I guess it is. That's a good looking little class C, hope it works out for Jim and Tere. I talked to Lester, the owner of this Barth and have some info. More after I talk to him tonight Unit came from Ohio, bought by Lester's brother in an estate sale, and then by Lester 2 years ago. He drove it down from Ohio to NC at that time and has been living in it since. 19', 86000 original miles, frig works, toilet works, gas stove works. Never had hot water heater on. Leak around ceiling vent in bathroom. Bath is one of those one piece fiberglass units with the sink as part of the shower. There's another leak at one of the windows in the overhead that Lester caulked. There is no generator but a place for one with the slide out rails etc. Lester put a new carb on it, wouldn't run with the old one. Tires look ok but he doesn't know how old they are Barth 3-ring binder is there and he will look at it and give me more info when I call tonight He would like to get $8000. I would like the thoughts of others on the price. If everything worked and there was no rust underneath and no leaks, I was thinking $3500 max. Am I that far off? With the leaks, no generator, etc, I'm thinking $2000 at most. Of course we all know the value of something is what someone is willing to pay for it. Maybe there's someone out there that would pay $8000 but I think that's not realistic. In Lester's defense, I don't think he knows too much about motor homes, the current market or Barths in particular. He is a heavy equipment operator, bulldozers and such and his fiancée is a landscape person. From what I understand, he no longer needs it for housing and is apparently not into the motor home thing. Again, what do you think it's worth? Jim

I would think 1800 to 2000 would be fair price. 8000 (IMHO) is way out of sight. Mary Don't mess with us old folks, we don't get old by being stupid! 1968 Barth trailer, 1975 Barth Motorhome and 1985 Barth Motorhome

If the pics are anywhere near representative, I'd say $3000. A vintage Class C in that shape will be far more difficult to find than a Class A. On a good day I might even climb to $3500. A new Class C is gonna run $80K and up......way up. While the Class A Barths have good competition in the Newells, MCIs, Foretravels, Prevosts and Wanderlodges, I can't think of a single C that is built this well!! I agree that 3500 would be a fair and reasonable price..considering you would probably be looking at putting at least that much more into it. That being said this little beauty does have a few distinct advantages over some other Class C's 1. Supply and demand 2. It is a Barth Class C 3. Looks as though it has been fairly well maintained 4. It has that "Wow...Kool" factor. It is that "factor" that could possibly put this price higher than expected. Oh... did I mention that it is a Barth Class C. P.S. I wonder how many of these were made and how many are still around. In the last two years I have only seen two. 1986 Barth Regal SE 34 foot tag - 454 Chevy 8610 3363 34TFPOB

It's probably worth $2,000 in aluminum alone. I'd say to the right person $5- $6,000. It's a perfect size and probably gets 12 mpg. My dos centavos.
