I am finally to the point I can address some of the cosmetic issues with my Barth. We are thinking of what to do with the out-dated dark brown wall paneling. The simplest and cheapest thing would be to just paint it. We are also thinking of wallpaper, covering it with another panel or covering it with a padded vinyl. I was looking for advice and other ideas the folks here at Barthmobile. Neil.

So who guessed I'd answer to this one? I don't know what kind of mind comes up with this idea but it's my coach and we like it. [It's vinyl] 79 Barth Classic

Previous owner used an off-white textured fabric, which is quite nice, but is showing its age and has needed re-gluing here and there. It really brightens up the inside. The wall that has the bathroom and two closet doors is still the natural dark wood, and we like the contrast. Looking down that hall from the living room is a little like living on an old wooden boat, especially when Susan has a bunch of candles lit. She has picked out some green fabric to cover the bedroom wall, but it hasn't been stuck on yet. I can't decide whether or not to try it without removing the upper cabinets. Removing them would be more work, but it would be a good time to do an easy refinish job. Some fool did a lousy job of re-varnishing. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

Heavy vinyl "grass cloth" wall covering (i.e.: commercial-grade wallpaper) offers unlimited colors & patterns, bridges panel seams and other imperfections, is easier to work with than lighter gauge wallpapers and tolerates wet wiping and light scrubbing....TOTAL paste coverage is a key to longevity, but the typical paste allows for a long open time to shift the paper around. A Stanley knife w/ new blade(s) gives the finishing touch on edges & cut-arounds........ TOP grade material for your coach?...Maybe $150.00

Dan, I like it. It’s different, that’s why I bought my Barth. It is vinyl wall paper I assume? Did you put it up? If so how hard was it? What did you use for glue? I like the idea because it would cover all the imperfections in the walls plus you have a lot of choices. I was thinking of different paper in the different rooms. I would leave that up to the wife. Half paneling and half paint using chair rail molding to separate the bottom from the top. I used 1" lattice to separate each upper panel. Each corner with more molding. A little stain and some gloss...

Not being the installer, I can't help you with details. Whoever did it removed all the trim and went behind it. It's a heavy textured vinyl so the grout lines are recessed a little and the bricks are pebbly rough. It is one of the things that caught our eye when we first saw this coach. 79 Barth Classic

I'd avoid anything that isn't washable; the interior in mine, while light is cloth except in the bathroom. It's easy to stain and hard to clean. Randowm match is much easier than pattern match (expecially drop pattern). My interior walls skins all appear to be aluminum, and that might require a special paste if yours are too.
