I've taken the advise of others on the site concerning my approach of bringing my Barth to "road worthyness" and my work started with engine work. The air pump is locked up, and the alternator bearings sound like rocks in a tin can. The coach has a 105 amp marine alternator with external regulator. There is some pretty poor wiring to be found all around. I see lots of butt splices and piggy back connectors, which I don't really care for either. What's the experience of other owners. Have you dove into replacing these critters with solder and shrink tape or is it worth it? I still have not found the feed for the exterior compartments yet, but I believe it's back at the panel in the back. What's your thoughts. Doug

Check for posts by Bill NY on sealed splices. If you use regular connectors, seal them with Liquid Electrical Tape. By piggy back, if you mean Scotchlok, get rid of them as fast as you can. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered
