Possible causes... Fan clutch not working - belt slipping - radiator dirty - a coolant hose that is too high causing an air pocket - it was too hot outside to cool it down properly - etc.
Bill, why did the alarm go on in forward but not reverse? I will check the lights. Thanks, Richard
