Did anyone have the horn on the roof work? Was that an option that the 1st owner did not get? There is a nice horn on the roof but it appears that it is not connected to anything? 1994 36' Regal GM 502 Fuel Injected Supercharger Chevy Chassis Data Tag Number:: 9406 3913 36FC 1B

Chuck, I have a 93 Regency with air horns. Mine work in conjunction with the electric horn. When the horn button is pressed the electric horn blows and a few seconds later the air horns kick in. There is a relay mounted on the wall when you open the generator door, on the upper right side. It has a hot wire from the horn button and air lines connected to it. Hope This helps. Nick

Thanks Nick....I will check it out. It seems like the original owner got every option and it just seemed strange. Thanks Again! 1994 36' Regal GM 502 Fuel Injected Supercharger Chevy Chassis Data Tag Number:: 9406 3913 36FC 1B

The most frequent problem with air horns is the electric solenoid which may need cleaning. Check the Hadley website for complete directions. 1999 Airstream Safari 25' 2007 Toyota Tundra 1987 Yamaha YSR toads

What do you think makes that "few seconds" time delay? Do you know the location of the solenoid? . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

If the bus has been sitting a long while and the air pressure is low there is a very slight delay between the electric and the air horns. When the pressure is up, not a noticible delay. Actually can't even hear the electric horns when the Hadley's are set off! You might expect a slight delay in the air horns due to the air lines and valves or what-have-you that are in thr air system between the secondary tanks down below and the horns on the roof. The solenoid on mine is connected to the air tank. 1999 Airstream Safari 25' 2007 Toyota Tundra 1987 Yamaha YSR toads

When I first got my Barth, the air horns (and electric horn) didn't work. It turned out to be the horn button it self. I couldn't remove the ring holding the horn button on, so I simply worked the horn button many times an it began working. I think some corrosion built up on the contacts and by working it I cleaned them. My horns have worked with out fail since then (5 years now). I also have a solenoid dedicated to the horns. That could explain a slight lag as the pressure builds up in the length of line to the horns. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

I also found the trumpets on mine were a nice little nature habitat. I have been wondering how mine works. Many mystery switches including an add-on SPST toggle, dangling from wires under the dash and steering column. What switch might this be replacing? The last time I tested it, I heard what sounded like a small pump running, like a windshield washer pump. Seemed to come from below and forward, inside of tire? I later was thinking that could be a compressor. I assume diesels have an air system that gassers don't. I have air bags and fill fittings in the bumpers, haven't checked them or know how to. Switch is upper right in photo. Not excited about getting into this area to check draw on fuses, hard to get into. Wish I had a driver's door. Would I have an air tank that is recharged by a compressor? I don't think I have ever tried the electric horn, is the button in center of steering wheel? Full timing in a campground, I want to keep testing to a minimum.

My air horn is powered from an engine vacuumed operated air compressor mounted behind the front bumper. Mine are not working at this time. on my to do list. 1986 31' Regal -1976 Class C 454/T400 P30 -350/T400 G30 twin cntr beds - 21' rear bath

I replaced the air compressor for the horns. See here. I found out that the mystery toggle switch seems to run the in-dash HVAC fan ...wait for it ... off of house battery. And yesterday the HVAC panel was working the fan, today it will not, just the toggle. Still a mystery there. When I press horn button, I can hear a relay or solenoid, but no horn. I am in the process of checking out the air system(s).
