does anyone know where to get the lower rad hose for the 454 1979? I looked up the post on here and the GM # is dis, and the others auto zone can't cross they gave me one that is not even close. i have the universal flex hose on now and it is very close to the pulleys. it just a matter of time before it rubs, would like to find the molded hose if possible Thanks!!

You've been looking for this part for 2+ years now. Oswego John said he took 2 hoses and used a joiner pipe to make up his hose. At this stage of the game, you might need to do this.

In the past, I've done this for other hoses. I've also had exhaust pipe bent and used rubber hoses.

I don't know if mine is routed differently from yours, but it's not too close to the pulleys. I got mine from NAPA, it's not pre-bent, but it bends to fit. I did have one place where I clamped a piece of old hose over the new one where it's close to a frame member or something. I'll get the NAPA # off it later today for you and take a pic of how it's routed.
