radio removal
I have a '95 vintage Panasonic radio with a 6x outboard CD changer.

The cd changer is a PD600. The radio's removable faceplate has the id no R35U on it, but I do not know the radio chassis part number.

I really do not want to take a chance on dislodging half the rat's nest behind my dash to remove the radio for replacement, disabling all sorts of gauges, lights and switches. I suspect it might (or not) slide out from the front, but I cannot id the manner to release the bezel that holds the faceplate and accomplish this.

This might be a popular item, so I thought others with that vintage moho (if any more exist) might have the identical unit with a more than identical owner, i.e. one that has already solved this problem (if solvable).

If so, please enlighten me.

PS Does the little red blinking light behind the faceplate mean that a bomb is counting down?

Mystery solved. My unit is a DIN-like slide-into-sleeve. But the currently popular 4x hole pattern to release the unit was not there.

I finally found a single tiny hole in the bezel that released the unit using one of the jeweler screwdrivers.

Thanks for the help.

Thx, Bill of New York-shire, is there anything you do not know! :-)
