Air Shifter
Bill N.Y. got a problem shifting up. It will shift down. Book says oil or dirt in cylinders. I can go under the Coach and move the shift lever in both directions no problem. Does electric have anything to do with the shifter? Thanks Tom

I need some more info on your coach. Year, make, model, transmission etc...

Might I suggest that you list this in your signature profile. It's easy to do... If you had a signature profile it'll show up everytime you post. I don't type what you see below. Everything including and from Bill N.Y. down is always added everytime I post a message. I'll add 2 lines to show you what I mean.

Click on this link

Upper right hand corner of the yellow screen it will say...

View/Edit
Complete Profile

And it will be in a link format - it will look like a regular link.

If you do not see the "view/Edit Complete profile" click on the "profile tab" and it should say this. All areas are located within the yellow colored zone.

Bill N.Y. sorry to waste your time, I have a stone bennett model LA2-12 shifter and yes it also has electric, Let me do a little more testing before I bother you. Thanks Tom

Stone Bennet is listed as an air shifter, but is really operated by electricity. You probably just have a switch which you can toggle one way or the other. On our Newell I push it forward to go up in the gears and back to go down. This activates an air solinoid at the transmission.

Check your connections.
