tom taylorpower switch over prob
I have a power protector between me and the KOA. Man comes around to say they are cutting power. I had the gen set running as I had just got here. When their power failed I lost my connection to the gen set. Heard a breaker kick off somewhere in the front of the coach. When their power came back I had 110 V again. I can not find anything in the front wiring center below the driver to reset. I reset all the 110 breakers and the 50 amp but nothing. So, it looks like the connection to the gen set needs to be reset. Help please.1998 Breakaway with the Koehler generator up front. I also shut off the genset for a Thanks. Tom

Bill N.Y.Perhaps the circuit breakers on the Kohler tripped.
Here is my Kohler after removing it from a spare bay - I've circled, in red, the reset breakers. I've also included a short blurb from the kohler maintenance manual. You can find the complete manual on our download page.

tom taylorBill, this is an air cooled unit. Mine is a water cooled unit in the nose. I am thinking it must be the power transfer switch but have to find that to see if it is resettable. I guess it is in the back under the bed.

bud@YXYHi Tom
I don't know if this could be your problem but the generator in our 1993 Breakaway (kabota 3 cyc diesel) has a breaker located at the rear of the generator, and up fairly high on the generator housing--- you have to crawl under and reach a long way up to access it. Have never had to use it and only became aware of it this last winter (third year of use).

RustyIn most motorhomes, default position of the transfer switch is the generator. This means the likely culprit is the breaker on the genset.

tom taylorI appreciate all of your help gentlemen. It was the genset breakers. A nice truck repair service crawled under and reset them. I plan to move them to front of bay.
