My 1991 Barth Regal 25, Oshkosh/Ford460 has been in the Guardian Glass shop her in Lansing for three weeks. The Manager has tried two DW730 blanks and says the w/s is definitely not a DW730! The blank is approx. 30 x 48. The glass currently in it is a Viracon, but they did not provide part numbers. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks Bill. Unfortunately we have two brand new pieces of DW730 glass (NAGS# DW007300 GTNN) from two different manufacturers and neither one of them fit. Mike at Guardian Glass finds the DW730 has a bend to it that does not fit the contour of the body. Could it possibly be that Barth used the body of a different model and shortened it to fit the 25' chassis. I have the original Regal pamphlet and my floor plan is not in it. Secondly, as I look at pictures of other Barth's it appears to closely resemble some longer units. Here is a head on photo that may show what I mean.

Do they have the right side. There is also a 731 for the other side. Don't remember which side fits which number but a search of the archive here will give you that info '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

Just click on the windshield, at the very top of this page, and you'll be directed to the correct information. What is your Barth Tag ID and Vin number? The tag looks like this The Barth ID Tag Number in the above example is. 9102 3709 33S-12 Your Vin# should start with a 4CD

We, the pundits, made Craigslist. Pretty funny. Ed, has it ever occurred to you that... I don't know... maybe, you should try another glass shop? If, you can't find a glass that will fit, and you're ever in the NY area. Stop by my glass guy, he'll fix you up. The glass you see in this picture. They were both installed in August of this year.

Ed, I have a 1992 Barth Regency and replaced both windows a little over a year ago. I used the DW730 for left and right and they both fit fine. I can't imagine that there were different windows used in your Barth since Barth used that GM Astro cab over window in all their units. I hope you can resolve this issue. Different windows are possible, but don't seem likely. Bill G Bill & Georgene Goodwin 92 (Feb.) Severe Fogging. I've been meaning to replace these for a couple of years, but seeing that I was going to the GTG in Wales Ma, I decided to do it before then. I paid $450.00 w/tax & a tip on August 8th for both windows. Safelite Auto Glass came to my house and brought 2 men with them.

Just had both windshields in my '89 Regency replaced yesterday at Glass Unlimited in Fresno, CA. Total cost - $370.00. One Barth I had looked at before buying the '89 had a cracked passenger side windshield. The owner had been quoted $900.00 to replace it. I researched windshields here, and it gave me a heads up on the type of windshield used and approximate cost of replacement. Gene, the owner, said the new glass is thinner than the original so proper sealing is important.
