You can go to your profile and add info on your coach - year, model, etc. The lights to which you refer sound like they are "map lights" or "reading lights". No matter; the issue is to get them working. The running lights should come on when the parking or headlights are turned on. On the chassis wiring, 12VDC wires are, red: Positive 12VDC, black,: ground Negative 12VDC. The house circuits, though, switch to household specs: White: ground (neutral), black: Hot. Lenny and Judy, I have added your coach information to your signature profile so you don't need to add it. From now on, each time you post, you will see your names and your coach info unless you check off the box to not include it. In case you weren't aware, the use of CAPLOCK is considered yelling in a forum environment. When I first started posting in a forum setting it was brought to my attention that lower case was better then CAPLOCK. I didn't know then, and I'm sure you didn't either so please don't think that I'm singling you out. Just trying to let you in on a little web "Netiquette". You're doing fine and we are all friends here, so keep posting away and we'll keep helping you. BTW: No, we are not "stick in the mud" type of people... So, if you want to keep using CAPLOCK, you won't hear about it again as this was only intended as a heads up. [snooty voice] That's me in the middle, partaking in a Martini with the boys from the country club. We are watching a polo match or a cricket tournament... I don't remember which as time and distance has eroded my memory of the events from that day. [/end snooty voice]

I'm thinking that you're referring to clearance lights (the ones on top) rather than running lights (that's what I call the lights on the side of the coach). The running lights should turn on with the headlight/parking light switch. The clearance lights don't if you have the separate switch for them turned "OFF". The clearance lights on my Regency work independent from the headlight switch. My clearance lights are turned on using a switch (rocker switch) on the very top farthest left side (or upper left side)of the dash console. The headlight switch must be "ON" and then you can toggle the clearance lights "ON" and "OFF" using this switch. If you leave the (clearance light)switch in the "ON" position the clearance lights will then turn "ON" and "OFF" with the headlight switch (if a driver "flashes" you in when you pass them at night you can then flash your clearance lights "ON" and "OFF" to thank them without shutting your headlights "ON" and "OFF"). The reading lights that you refer to have rocker switches on the lights but they probably have a main power switch also. The switch to activate them on my dash is located on the right side next to switches for the map light, aisle lights, etc.; So if you don't have this main switch turned "ON" then the reading light switches on the lights won't work because you haven't flipped the main switch that is located on the right side of your console to "ON". After you find the main switch and flip it "ON" then flip the switches on the reading lights and they should operate. Your switches of course may not be the same but I hope you can adapt the description to your coach. I'm betting that everything works you just haven't flipped all your switches. 1990 32' Regency Spartan Chassis Cummins CTA8.3 Allison 4 speed | |||
