I think in a prior post you said you had an 8.2 Detroit. First I'm sure that you have an Allison. Depending on the HP it could be either a 540 or 600 series. My guess is probably 540.

You can tell by driving it. Get up to about 60mph and let up on the throttle. If the RPMs drop it is a 500 series as they had no lockup torque converter. If the engine maintains RPMs then probably a 600 series.

There is an ID plate on the side of the allison with the model number on it.

On our 93 Breakaway the engine, transmission, steering gear and a number of other items are listed on the inside of the access door to the generator (at the front of the coach)
