The hose shown below has some cracks in it and is seeping. Does anyone know what this hose is for? I noticed it when I cleaned off some accumulated corrosion around the clamp. 30'- 1992 Breakaway on Spartan Chassis 5.9L Cummins 190 Banks Powerpack Allison 4 spd - 542B 9206-3805-30BS-6B 7KW Kohler Propane Genset

Carl, that's on the back of the head and it's in a water jacket. It looks like it could go to a dash or rear area heater... maybe even the hot water tank heater... transmission cooler... fuel line heater... You'll have to trace it anyway to replace it. Notice the constant torque clamp? Whoever does the work have them re-use if necessary, or ideally replace it with another constant torque style hose clamp.

Thanks, Bill, I will trace it back. Betsy bet me that it is the water heater heater. I'll let you know when I trace it back. My plan is to cut off about 1" and reattach it until I can find a replacement as the crack is only 1/2" from the end but before I do I am going to make sure that it is long enough. 30'- 1992 Breakaway on Spartan Chassis 5.9L Cummins 190 Banks Powerpack Allison 4 spd - 542B 9206-3805-30BS-6B 7KW Kohler Propane Genset

That is the hear line that goes to the dash HVAC unit. If your has the hot water tank preheater, it goes there first and there is a tee in the that hose right above the emergency brake canister, drivers side, right above the axle. You would have to replace the hose from the back of the engine to at least the tee to start with.
