I have an idea only - I think the linkage came undone at the pivot assy. But, I don't know for sure.

Tucumcari NM Ran out of propane filled propane. Generator will run tried cooktop and furnance no propane? Vapor and liquid both valves on What's up What's keeping it from letting gas to them. We may be checking tonight on line again otherwise it's brr cold. Temperature control on dash stuck at cold will try to spray WD on it when I get a chance. Thanks for your help and concern. We are under the time gun I'll share more when time is not an issue.

The propane line needs to be bled of air. Hold a lighter near the burner, turn it on; you should see the air blow the flame and eventually the burner will light.

DO NOT try to operate the dash heat lever (BTW, there's noting in the dash WD-40 will help) until you've gone into the the generator compartment.

Trace the heater hoses to the control valve (Passenger side, about eye level); remove the operating cable and operate the valve by hand. The dash end of the operating cable is very delicate. While pushing the temperature lever to the highest pulls the cable, forcing the lever back to coldest without freeing the valve will cause it to pop off in the dash. Repair is tedious and difficult.

Check the propane monitor (if you have one). If it is not turned on it will not,let propane to flow past thensafety valve. On miNe it is located at the floor across from the sink. It beeps when you turn it on.

I'm with Rusty on the bleeding. We ran out of LP in Alabama last year and filled at a NAPA where the meter didn't work right and we didn't even know if the guy knew what he was doing. I wasn't leaving till something burned, and it took a long time to bleed the air of at the stove. Finally fired and all was well. The overhead gauge didn't show full until I turned the gas back on after the fill.

I'm thinking like Tom K. Its the sniffer. On my Breakaway its by the sink. Every time the propane is turned on you have to hold the button in till the beeping slows to a steady beek every couple of seconds then every thing will work I could tell how I found out about this but it would be telling how dumb I am!

The generator runs, so it's not the sniffer.

On my 91 Breakaway had same problem when I first got it. Had to replace the propane monitor (floor across from sink also)If you don't have a light on in the monitor or if it doesn't beep that may be the problem. Does anyone know.. if you disconnect the wires leading to the safety valve will it open or is default closed?

Rusty you were reading my mind. I am just stropping in Vernon Texas. I bet I stay warm without HEAT TONITE. But I know I will need the heat Monday -Tuesday. I have had the similar problem about 100 years ago on my 58 Rambler. That is my first look now when I park or at my sisters tomorrow.

Sniffer valve across from sink. Not sure where it might be Generator runs just seems no vapor. I ran the generator on a couple times today to make sure that ran okay. Seemed okay going down the road. Trying to make up time!

If I can't get the furnace running the wife and I will just snuggle closer. ROTFLMAO

I'm beat going to sleeeeeeeeeeeep

The Sniffer only controls and will shut down any vapor appliances. The generator will run even if the sniffer is off because it is on the liquid circuit.

When ever I have done service and opened the vapor circuit, it takes a long time before I can get fire on the stove top or water heater.

Not so on mine; the supply to the genset was on the same line and downstream of the furnace, reefer, and stove. In fact I removed the line and stubbed it off when I installed the gaso Honda.
